On Saturday, October 19th, Scotty’s Contracting & Stone hosted its very first Fall Festival, welcoming over 200 employees and their families to the TS Trucking Lot. The beautiful fall weather set the perfect backdrop for a day filled with family fun, food, and community spirit.
The festival included something for everyone, with a pumpkin patch and painting station, face painting, kids’ inflatables, and a photo booth. Families enjoyed plates loaded with catfish, chicken, and all the fixings from Uncle Bud’s, a popular pick from Nashville.
One of the highlights of the day was the “Touch-a-Truck” experience, featuring equipment from Scotty’s Heavy Civil, Paving, and TS Trucking divisions. Kids eagerly climbed inside trackhoes, asphalt pavers, loaders, and rollers, honking horns and getting a glimpse into the daily work of their parents. “It was awesome to see our employees share a part of their day-to-day work with their families,” said CEO Mike Law. “Watching the kids light up as they climbed the equipment was a real highlight. It’s a reminder of the great community we have here.”
In addition to the festivities, the event coincided with Mike Law’s birthday, which was celebrated with a shared cake for everyone to enjoy. It was a meaningful day, honoring not just his birthday, but also the people who have played significant roles in shaping his journey. Employees received new fall hat designs, kids received Halloween treat bags, and the day closed with a raffle drawing for 17 prizes as a token of appreciation. Prizes included Ace Hardware gift cards, Long Horn gift cards, Yeti coolers and tumblers, Bluetooth speakers, tool organizers, and leaf blowers.
Scotty’s is thankful to all those who worked behind the scenes to bring this idea to fruition. We are more than a company; we are a community. Our people built Scotty’s and TS Trucking and that makes our company special, Law reflected, “The festival was a huge success, and we’re already looking forward to next year. We’re grateful to have such a strong community at Scotty’s and TS Trucking!”
