83,884 hours without incident

The 2021 Safety Merit Award was given in recognition of Scotty’s plant teams working a total of 83,884 hours without any incident/injuries or lost time on workdays. Asphalt Division manager, Shane Beckham stated, “This is a remarkable feat based on the challenges they face daily in and around these plants. The level of safety they have embraced and adopted is outstanding. They are the ones that are in the trenches before the sun comes up and often can still be found there after the sun goes down. To say that I am proud of my guys would be an understatement. These guys take care of their plants, and their equipment, and most importantly they take care of each other. It’s a blessing to have such a wonderful team.”
